Update from Administrator – December 1, 2020

Dear Families,

I wanted to reach out to continue to stay in touch during these times.  We have had another positive staff member – but it was not someone who is a direct care giver.

In addition, I wanted to keep you in the loop about what we are doing to help the State of Rhode Island continue to deal with COVID-19 crisis.

We have created a space in our building to accept negative residents from another facility so that the other facility can have an empty floor and accept COVID (+) from the hospital to assist with the overflow.  This space is physically separated from our other residents, and all of the residents are being put on 14 day Quarantine Precautions just as if they were coming from the hospital.  These new residents are all being tested prior to arrival and will be tested at multiple times during their 14 day quarantine per the DOH recommendations.

We have also finished setting up a completely separate area on our 2nd floor to function as an isolation area should any of our residents in-house end up with a positive test result at any point.  If activated, this area has procedures in place to minimize the risk of any spread through out the building.

As always, if anyone has any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly.

Thank you,

Nicholas Lutzel
