Update from Administrator – December 8, 2020

December 8, 2020

Dear Families,

As always, our team and I hope this email finds you safe and healthy.

We have had 3 positive employees on our last round of routine testing. With the increase of community spread, these numbers are not abnormal, and our goal still remains minimizing and mitigating the risk of spread amongst staff and residents here at Summit Commons. We continue to stay in constant contact with the Rhode Island Department of Health  to stay up to date with their guidance and recommendations. We discuss each and every positive staff directly with the Department of Health.  We have no reason to believe there has been any spread within the building.

We continue to remind our staff to not only practice safeguards against COVID in our center, but to be vigilant outside of our center and share these practices with their friends and loved ones. We still ask you to do your part while in your community and PLEASE wear your mask, wash your hands, and watch your distance. And please promote these very simple precautions with your extended family and friends.

As always, thank you for your patience and please stay safe and healthy!

Thank you,

Nicholas Lutzel
